Play Australian
Backing local talent matters. Why supporting Australian artists strengthens the whole live entertainment industry.
Want to support your fellow Australian artists? If you are doing regular covers gigs, you have a great opportunity to play covers by Australian artists so that they get paid!
As we all know, Covid has decimated the live entertainment industry. This ,coupled with the ever decreasing streaming revenue payments means that artists income has also been severely reduced.
How you can help!
Every venue that provides live entertainment is required to pay a licence fee to One Music Australia.
This licence fee is then distributed to artists.
You may already know that if you are an artist who writes your own music, you are entitled to get paid for the songs you perform live by submitting a Live Performance Return via APRA.
You may not know, that if you submit the covers that you play, those artists will also get paid!
Hot Giggity’s set list functionality allows you to create a unique set lists for every gig that you perform, or simply attach a predefined set lists.
This is a great way of keeping a record of the songs performed, the date, time, venue etc – all of the information you will need to input into your Live Performance Return with APRA.
